An Anti-Stigma Workshop will take place on the following date:

Tuesday, 7th February 2012 9.30am – 11am Training Room 2, Training Centre, Ayrshire Central Hospital, Irvine

The aim of these short sessions is to raise awareness, challenge and attempt to change attitudes on stigma towards individuals with mental health issues

Learning Outcomes:

Following these sessions it is anticipated that the attendee will:

• Be familiar with attitudes in relation to the derogatory terms associated with mental health

• Demonstrate an understanding of where the word 'stigma' originates

• Be aware of the link between reducing stigma as an aid to recovery

• Increased knowledge of mental health issues

These sessions last approximately 90 minutes, are free and applicable to all, however if you have already attended Scotland's Mental Health First Aid Training, there is no need to attend.

Maximum number of participants in each session will be 15 and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis
