Workers’ Educational Association (WEA)
JobRotation Project The JobRotation model is almost unique as an economic development tool as it is both an employability project and business development project. · As an employability project, JobRotation provides 26-week work placements for the unemployed and low skilled – so tackling the problem of worklessness. · As a business development project, the JobRotation work placement substitutes for and releases existing employees to undertake training that meets the employer’s needs – so raising the productivity and competitiveness of SMEs and allowing them to expand employment. A key feature of JobRotation has been its flexibility to support different unemployed groups and to meet the needs of a wide range of employers. The model can be viewed as a sophisticated approach to delivering lifelong learning with its focus on both jobless people trying to re-enter the labour market, as well as existing employees with the potential to upgrade their skills. The current JobRotation Project is in its second stage of recruitment and we are keen to work with local not for profit / social enterprises as well as small to medium sized enterprises. JobRotation can offer many benefits to organisations and their employees / volunteers. If you would like to contact us on 01563 522551 we will arrange to come out and meet with you to discuss the benefits and opportunities available to your organisation.
