MODERN APPRENTICESHIP CHALLENGE
The Ayrshire Business in the Community Modern Apprenticeship
Challenge was designed with the main objective of forging links between
local apprentices and their communities and allowing the apprentices to
demonstrate their skills and training.
The challenge seeks modern apprentices to
participate by selecting a community project to undertake and complete
which utilises their skills and experience whilst delivery a project of
community benefit.
This innovative challenge offers a great
opportunity for young people to contribute something practical to their
chosen project, raise the profile of the company they work for and
deliver something to the local community – which is where you come in!
Perhaps your
organisation has a project(s) that the apprentices could help with?
Ayrshire Business in the Community will
collate project nominations from voluntary or community groups to
participating companies who require assistance in securing a project for
their apprentices to undertake.
We cannot guarantee that your project will be
undertaken however by registering your project idea it will be provided
for consideration. Should
the project be taken up then the apprentices will liaise with you
directly regarding your project, deadlines, requirements etc..
Teams are responsible for undertaking all work
and for sourcing materials required and therefore community/voluntary
group are not obliged to make any payment to the apprentices.
I have listed some examples of previous
projects below. Challenges
can be large or small - apprentices are not judged on the size of the
project or number of apprentices involved, but on the overall portfolio
of the project.
