Doon Valley Free Insulation Scheme East Ayrshire Council has secured funding from the Scottish Government http://www.scotland.gov.uk/News/Releases/2011/09/26131112 to insulate homes in the Doon Valley area. The insulation is free of charge and householders will also be offered free, impartial energy advice as part of a range of support on offer through the Home Energy Scotland Hotline from the Scottish Government. The Energy Agency is managing the project on behalf of the council. What's the catch? There's no catch. If you have a client base who live within the Doon Valley area and their home is suitable, they can have cavity wall and loft insulation (or your existing loft insulation topped up) free of charge. The scheme is open to both home owners and those renting and our qualified surveyors from Clyde Insulation will be able to assess their home on their behalf. The funding is limited and will be used on a first come, first served basis- we'd therefore eager to spread the word so that the benefits can be reaped this winter. The benefits Savings of up to £280* per year can be made on energy bills by following our energy advice and installing insulation measures. And your clients home will feel warmer and they'll also be doing their part for the environment. How do I get more information on this?
