I was raised in Prestwick where I attended Kingcase Primary School and then Prestwick Academy until 1980.
I worked mainly in the manufacturing sector firstly for Ariston Acoustics and then Digital Equipment. Since 1996 I have been employed as a support worker in Kilmarnock for Key Housing Association and latterly for Quarriers. In 2008 I enrolled at Ayr College where I completed my HNC in Social Care. On leaving College I then went to the University of Glasgow where I am in my final year of a BA in Community Development. I became aware of the work of the CVO through my involvement with various community organisations in South Ayrshire. I am delighted to have joined the team at CVO (EA) and look forward to the many challenges we will face together. |
